This article analyzes the specific features of studying a person’s intellectual abilities from a psychological perspective. Intelligence reflects cognitive processes, thinking speed, and creative potential. The research discusses the theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, and modern psychodiagnostic tools used in assessing intellectual capacity. The study highlights the influence of biological, social, and psychological factors, as well as the importance of motivation and volitional qualities in the development of intellectual abilities. The findings emphasize that exploring intellectual potential contributes not only to individual development but also to the effectiveness of educational practices.
