Open Access Policy

Open Access Policy
for German International Journals

Journal of Multidisciplinary Sciences and Innovations (JMSI) and International Journal of Political Sciences and Economics (IJPSE) are committed to providing high-quality open access publishing to the global academic community. Both journals are double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access publications that aim to make cutting-edge research in multidisciplinary sciences, political sciences, and economics freely accessible to all.

1. Open Access Commitment

  • Free Accessibility: All articles published in JMSI and IJPSE are freely accessible online to readers worldwide. As open-access journals, we provide immediate, unrestricted access to all published articles, ensuring that research is readily available to researchers, students, policymakers, and the general public without the need for subscription or access fees.

  • Global Reach and Visibility: We aim to increase the global visibility and impact of research by removing paywalls, thus enhancing the dissemination of knowledge to a wide academic audience and contributing to global research collaboration.

2. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • APC Overview: To maintain the financial sustainability of the journals and ensure high-quality publishing, both JMSI and IJPSE require an Article Processing Charge (APC) to be paid upon acceptance of an article for publication. This fee covers the costs associated with the editorial process, peer review, typesetting, and the hosting and dissemination of content through open-access channels.

  • Fee Amount:

    • The APC for both JMSI and IJPSE is €[amount] per article.
    • Authors will be informed about the APC upon submission or after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
    • The APC is a one-time fee charged per accepted article. It covers the entire publishing process, including peer review, editorial handling, and dissemination of the final article.
  • Fee Waivers and Discounts:

    • Fee Waivers: We recognize that some authors may have limited access to funding. Fee waivers or discounts may be granted on a case-by-case basis for authors from low-income countries or those facing financial difficulties. Authors should contact the editorial office to request a waiver before submission.
    • Discounts for Institutional Partnerships: In some cases, authors affiliated with institutions that have partnerships with JMSI and IJPSE may be eligible for discounts on APCs.

3. Licensing and Permissions

  • Creative Commons License: All articles published in JMSI and IJPSE are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This license allows:

    • Anyone to freely share, adapt, remix, and build upon the work for any purpose, including commercial use, as long as the original authors are properly credited.
    • Authors retain copyright of their work, with the understanding that it is made available for free under this open-access license.
  • Author Rights: Authors retain full copyright of their articles and are free to reuse, share, and adapt the work as long as they comply with the terms of the Creative Commons license.

4. No Subscription or Access Fees

  • No Paywalls: As part of our open-access commitment, JMSI and IJPSE do not impose subscription fees. Articles published in the journals are freely available to everyone without any restrictions or paywalls, ensuring that all research is accessible to a global audience.

  • No Hidden Fees: Authors are not charged any additional fees beyond the APC for the article processing. The APC covers all publishing costs, including typesetting, peer review, and the final publication of the article.

5. Archiving and Repository Policy

  • Self-Archiving: Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version (post-peer review) of their article in institutional repositories or on personal websites. This ensures that their research remains accessible even if other platforms or websites are used.

  • External Repositories: Authors may also deposit their work in other open-access repositories or platforms. This aligns with our commitment to open-access publishing and ensures that research is disseminated as widely as possible.

6. Benefits of Open Access Publishing

  • Increased Visibility: Open access increases the visibility of research, making it available to a broad, international audience. This helps to maximize the impact of the authors’ work, resulting in more citations and greater academic engagement.

  • Global Collaboration: By removing paywalls, we foster collaboration among researchers, institutions, and disciplines worldwide. Open access publishing promotes the exchange of knowledge and ideas, which enhances scientific and academic progress.

  • Academic Integrity: Our commitment to open access includes a dedication to maintaining high editorial standards and a rigorous double-blind peer review process, ensuring that all published articles meet the highest academic and ethical standards.

7. Ethical Publishing and Peer Review Process

  • Double-Blind Peer Review: JMSI and IJPSE follow a double-blind peer review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. This ensures that the evaluation of the manuscript is unbiased and that only high-quality, scientifically rigorous work is published.

  • Commitment to Ethical Standards: The journals adhere to ethical guidelines as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring that all submissions are original, free from plagiarism, and comply with ethical research standards.

8. Supporting the Research Community

  • No Barriers to Research: By offering open-access publication, we aim to provide a platform for scholars worldwide, regardless of institutional or geographical limitations. We aim to empower researchers by removing financial barriers to accessing and disseminating knowledge.

  • Fostering Innovation: Open access allows other researchers to build upon previously published work, driving further innovations in various academic fields. Authors benefit from increased exposure, while their research contributes to a larger body of knowledge that can be widely accessed, cited, and applied.
