Abstract

This article examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) tools on the modern educational process, analyzing their pedagogical potential, associated risks, and effective methodological solutions for their integration. In the context of global digital transformation, AI technologies–including intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, automated assessment tools, chatbots, data analytics algorithms, and virtual instructors–offer new possibilities for improving educational quality, personalizing instruction, managing learning processes efficiently, and enhancing students’ cognitive and soft skills. The study highlights AI’s positive influence on learners’ motivation, academic achievement, critical thinking, communication, and autonomous learning, supported by theoretical sources and practical applications.


However, the use of AI in education also raises several concerns. These include risks related to academic integrity, over-automation of intellectual tasks, data privacy and security issues, reduced teacher oversight, learners’ excessive dependence on technology, and the potential decline in teacher–student interaction. The article provides practical recommendations to minimize these risks, emphasizing the need for pedagogically aligned AI implementation, teacher readiness and digital competence development, ethical guidelines, and the creation of structured methodological frameworks for safe and effective AI use in education.
