Abstract

In this article,the pedagogical significance of using educational games in preschool educational institutions is analyzed from a scientific and theoretical perspective. In the course of the study, the role of educational games in activating children’s cognitive activity, socialization, speech development, and the formation of independent thinking skills was examined. The results showed that educational games are an important pedagogical tool in the development of preschool-aged children. At present, improving the preschool education system and introducing innovative pedagogical technologies into the educational process are among the most urgent tasks. In particular, play activity plays a leading role in the formation of knowledge, skills, and competencies in preschool-aged children. For children, play is not only a form of entertainment, but also the main means of cognition, communication, and development.In preschool educational institutions, educational games are organized taking into account children’s age and psychological characteristics and serve their intellectual, physical, and social development. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to scientifically analyze the pedagogical significance of educational games. This article highlights the pedagogical importance of educational games in preschool educational institutions and their role in the comprehensive development of children’s personalities.The types of educational games, methods of their integration into the educational process, as well as the issues of forming children’s cognitive, social, and creative competencies through play are also analyzed.
