Abstract

This study examines the integration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education into national curricula, focusing on the opportunities and challenges associated with its implementation. STEM education promotes interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, which are essential for preparing students for the demands of the 21st-century workforce. The research highlights the role of teacher preparedness, project-based learning, technology integration, culturally relevant content, and inclusive practices in successful STEM implementation. Furthermore, the study discusses barriers such as insufficient resources, traditional assessment methods, and societal attitudes toward education. The findings underscore the need for systemic reforms and policy support to ensure effective, equitable, and sustainable STEM education in national contexts.
