This article explores the role of shadowing as an educational technology in enhancing oral speaking competence in English teaching. Shadowing is a technique where learners listen to spoken language and simultaneously repeat it, mimicking the speaker’s pronunciation, intonation, and rhythm. The research highlights how this method not only improves fluency and pronunciation but also boosts listening skills and overall language acquisition. By integrating shadowing into English language curricula, educators can provide students with practical tools to develop their speaking abilities in a supportive and engaging environment. The findings suggest that shadowing is an effective strategy for fostering greater confidence and competence in oral communication among English learners.
