Abstract

In the current era of digital revolution, technology has fundamentally changed how foreign languages are taught and learned. Speaking, listening, reading, and writing are the four fundamental language abilities. Of these, listening is still one of the most important but difficult to master. There are now creative ways for students to improve their listening skills thanks to the development of educational technology and mobile learning resources. This study looks at how contemporary apps may improve listening abilities, how successful they are as teaching tools, and examples of platforms that provide authentic listening experiences. It also looks at the advantages and possible disadvantages of using mobile apps into self-directed learning and classroom education.
