PSYCHOLOGICAL ADAPTATION OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM OF UZBEKISTAN: FACTORS, PROCESSES, AND PROSPECTS

This article examines the psychological adaptation of international students studying at higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan based on a comprehensive approach. The study provides a systematic analysis of motivational, cognitive, emotional, and social factors influencing the adaptation process. In addition, the impact of personal psychological resources, psychological safety, and the digital educational environment on adaptation outcomes is explored. The findings of the article serve as a scientific and practical basis for improving psychological support mechanisms in work with international students. The relationship between students’ subjective attitudes toward academic assessment, the process of internalization of normative requirements, and adaptation in relation to future professional career plans is highlighted. The article also proposes diagnostic indicators for empirical research and substantiates the significance of an institutional approach to supporting international students. The conclusions obtained are aimed at improving adaptation management systems within educational institutions.
