Abstract.Achievement motivation is considered one of the most significant psychological factors influencing students’ academic success, personal development, and future professional aspirations. In modern educational systems, particularly in specialized schools, students are expected to demonstrate high levels of academic performance, intellectual engagement, and self-development. Therefore, understanding the manifestation of achievement motivation among students has become an important issue in educational psychology.
This article examines the psychological characteristics of achievement motivation among students of specialized schools and analyzes the factors that contribute to its development. Particular attention is given to the influence of family environment, teacher support, self-efficacy, academic expectations, and peer relationships on students’ aspirations for success. The study also explores the role of specialized educational settings in creating favorable conditions for the development of achievement-oriented behavior and positive academic attitudes.
The analysis indicates that students with a high level of achievement motivation demonstrate greater persistence, stronger self-confidence, higher academic engagement, and a more active approach to solving educational tasks. Furthermore, achievement motivation contributes not only to academic success but also to the development of intellectual potential, self-regulation skills, and future career planning. The findings highlight the importance of psychological and pedagogical support in strengthening students’ motivation and maximizing their educational potential.
