The article examines the four levels of reading comprehension evaluated by PIRLS, the initial results of Uzbekistan in this field, and the identified challenges. Furthermore, it provides effective pedagogical recommendations and interactive reading strategies aimed at enhancing primary school students' skills in text analysis, information processing, and critical evaluation.
