Abstract

This paper explores the development of children’s creative potential as a key factor in school readiness. It emphasizes that successful transition to formal education depends on comprehensive development, including speech, logical thinking, practical intelligence, and creative imagination. Special attention is given to the role of vocabulary growth, phonemic awareness, elementary literacy, and mathematical concepts in the preschool period. The study highlights the importance of play-based learning and the gradual transition to structured academic activity. It concludes that school readiness should be assessed holistically, considering children’s physical, intellectual, and psychological development rather than focusing solely on specific academic skills.
