Abstract

This article discusses the importance, content and methodological approaches to developing the competence of future primary school teachers to use historical sources in the educational process. The study developed the stages of working with historical sources, components of competence, criteria for effectiveness and a methodological model proposal. The results of the study serve to improve the quality of forming historical ideas in primary education.
