This article discusses the general patterns, system, and functions of the human psyche. The main principles of studying the psyche, including determinism, the unity of consciousness and activity, and the principle of the development of psyche through activity, are analyzed. The article also explains the evolutionary development of the psyche, the formation of the nervous system, and the differences between human and animal psyche. In addition, the main functions of the psyche such as reflection, regulation, adaptation, and communication are described.
