Abstract

This article scientifically and theoretically studies the pedagogical potential of assessing the professional competencies of students in vocational education institutions based on the credit-module system. In the context of a competency-based approach, it is based on the need to use the results of the assessment not only as a control mechanism, but also as a motivating factor for managing the educational process and self-development of the student. At the same time, the article highlights the structure of the credit-module system, the goals and expected results set within the module, and the interrelationships between the criteria and indicators for their assessment.
