The digital age has fundamentally reshaped the landscape of English Language Teaching (ELT), introducing both unprecedented opportunities and complex challenges. This article explores the multifaceted impact of technological integration on ELT pedagogy, learner outcomes, and the evolving role of educators. It reviews key technological innovations, including artificial intelligence (AI), mobile-assisted language learning (MALL), and virtual reality (VR)/augmented reality (AR), examining their influence on the development of various language skills. The discussion extends to the shifting pedagogical paradigms, the necessity for enhanced digital competencies among ELT educators, and the ethical considerations inherent in technology-enhanced learning environments, such as the digital divide and data privacy. Ultimately, this synthesis aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current state and future trajectories of ELT in an increasingly digital world.
