STYLISTIC FUNCTIONS OF ENGLISH PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS

Abstract
The article examines the stylistic functions of phraseological units in the English language and their role in speech and text. The expressive, emotional, figurative, humorous and ironic functions of phraseological units are analyzed from a theoretical and practical perspective. Special attention is paid to the use of phraseological units in formal and informal styles of communication, their connection with cultural context, and the preservation of stylistic meaning in translation. The study highlights the importance of phraseological units in enhancing the emotional impact and communicative effectiveness of discourse.
