The article considers the problem of formation of volitional qualities in high school students in the process of physical education. Particular attention is paid to the importance of will in the personal development of adolescents, its influence on their educational activities, social adaptation and preparation for adult life. The main components of volitional qualities, such as dedication, persistence, self-control and determination, are determined, and the mechanisms of their formation are considered.
The pedagogical conditions contributing to the development of will are analyzed, including the use of special physical education methods aimed at forming resistance to physical and psychological stress. Modern methods and technologies are presented, such as the method of overcoming difficulties, the competitive method, methods of self-control and self-regulation, game technologies, as well as their practical implementation in educational and extracurricular activities.
The results of the study confirm the effectiveness of including the volitional component in the physical education system, which contributes to the formation of qualities in high school students necessary for successful self-realization in various spheres of life. The article offers practical recommendations for teachers, allowing them to purposefully develop the volitional qualities of schoolchildren through physical activity and sports exercises.
