Abstract

This article examines the psychological factors that significantly influence English language acquisition among learners. It highlights the role of motivation, anxiety, self-efficacy, and learning styles in shaping students’ language proficiency. The paper analyzes how affective variables interact with cognitive processes during language learning and emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment. Practical implications for educators are discussed, including strategies to enhance learner motivation, reduce language anxiety, and accommodate diverse learning preferences. Understanding these psychological factors can improve teaching effectiveness and foster more successful outcomes in English language education.
