THE NEED FOR THE PROCESS OF ALKALINE NEUTRALIZATION OF PREPRESSED COTTONSEED OIL

Abstract
Refining of vegetable oils is one of the most important technological processes of oil processing. The process of alkaline neutralization of crude cottonseed oil is a chemical process that mainly affects the physico-chemical parameters of refined cottonseed oil. The technological modes, output and quality indicators of refined cottonseed oil are also determined by the nature and method of extraction of crude oil. The accompanying substances and free fatty acids of unrefined cottonseed oil negatively affect the taste of the oil and accelerate the oxidation of the oil, leading to their spoilage.
Currently, the composition of raw cottonseed oils obtained from various varieties of cotton seeds, compared with refined, deodorized, contains significantly more related substances, these are gossypol, chlorophyll and others. The technology for producing cottonseed oil, which provides for maximum extraction of related substances, is considered promising. At fat-and-oil enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan, cotton seed varieties are processed using a separate technology of 1 and 2 varieties of seeds, as well as 3 varieties of seeds using a separate technology, where non-standard seeds of 4 varieties of cotton are more often added.
