This article discusses the role and importance of the proverb genre in the English and Uzbek linguistic landscape, and the fact that proverbs are a constant object of study for many representatives of linguistics, linguists and historians, ethnographers. The proverb genre has its own linguistic features that distinguish it from other genres, these features give proverbs melody, beautiful content and help to focus the listener's attention on the speech.
