Abstract

This article analyzes the lexical layers and their semantic functions in the works of Alisher Navoi from a linguistic perspective. The interaction between Turkic, Arabic, and Persian layers in the poet’s oeuvre, their artistic-aesthetic roles, and their contribution to meaning creation are examined on a scientific basis. Additionally, the use of lexical units in both their literal and figurative senses is illustrated with examples, highlighting Navoi’s contributions to the development of the Uzbek literary language.
