Abstract

This article analyzes the factors contributing to the emergence of neologisms in the Uzbek language, their types, and their functional role in speech. New lexical units that have appeared as a result of social development, scientific and technological progress, and globalization processes are examined on the basis of mass media materials. The study substantiates the role of neologisms in enriching the lexical layer of the Uzbek language and in becoming established within official and informational discourse.
