The article examines the role of Abdurahmon Goʻzal in the development of the concept of artistic thinking in Uzbek literary criticism. Artistic thinking represents an important theoretical category that reflects the creative worldview of writers, the aesthetic interpretation of reality, and the philosophical depth of literary works. In Uzbek literary studies, the analysis of artistic thinking has gradually evolved through the works of various scholars who have explored the relationship between literary form, content, and creative perception. Among these scholars, Abdurahmon Goʻzal occupies a notable place due to his contributions to the theoretical interpretation of literary creativity and aesthetic expression. The study analyzes Goʻzal’s scientific views on the nature of artistic thinking, the mechanisms of artistic imagination, and the role of literary language in shaping artistic images. Special attention is given to his interpretation of literary creativity as a complex cognitive and aesthetic process that integrates individual experience, cultural heritage, and social realities. The article also highlights the methodological approaches proposed by the scholar in analyzing literary texts and their artistic structure. Based on a qualitative analysis of his theoretical works, the research demonstrates that Goʻzal’s ideas significantly contributed to expanding the methodological framework of Uzbek literary criticism and strengthening the theoretical understanding of artistic thinking. His approach encourages deeper exploration of the aesthetic essence of literary works and promotes interdisciplinary dialogue between literary theory, philosophy, and cultural studies. The results of the study confirm that Abdurahmon Goʻzal’s scholarly legacy continues to influence contemporary literary analysis and provides an important foundation for further research on artistic thinking in Uzbek literature.
