The study highlights mechanisms for expanding students’ vocabulary, mastering grammatical structures, improving pronunciation culture, and forming communicative competence through play activities. It also examines the theoretical views of Vygotsky, Elkonin, Montessori, and Bruner regarding play-based learning and substantiates ways to adapt them to Uzbek pedagogical practice.
