This article highlights effective ways and pedagogical mechanisms for developing reading literacy among primary school pupils. The essence of reading literacy, modern pedagogical technologies and interactive methods used in its formation, as well as the professional activity of teachers are analyzed. In addition, practical recommendations aimed at improving reading literacy in the primary education process are presented.
