Abstract

Ecotourism plays a critical role in promoting environmental conservation, socio-economic development, and cultural preservation. However, its effectiveness depends on a complex interaction of environmental, economic, and governance-related factors. This article examines the core development factors influencing ecotourism growth and analyzes the major challenges that hinder its sustainability. Drawing upon contemporary research—including studies on coral reef restoration, natural resource management, and community-based ecotourism—this work provides a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and constraints within ecotourism systems. It concludes with strategic recommendations for sustainable ecotourism planning and management.
