Abstract

This work highlights the role and practical capabilities of a forensic psychologist in the investigative process. In criminal investigations, a forensic psychologist performs tasks such as assessing the mental state of individuals, identifying the emotional and psychological reactions of witnesses and victims, organizing interrogations in a psychologically proper manner, and scientifically analyzing the motives behind the suspect’s or defendant’s behavior. This annotation outlines the role of psychological examinations in improving the effectiveness of investigations, the importance of developing psychological profiles, and the psychologist’s potential to provide methodological recommendations to investigators. The study emphasizes the significant practical value of forensic psychology in uncovering crimes and determining the truth.
