Abstract

Overweight and obesity among adolescents have become pressing public health issues in both developed and developing countries. The rapid rise in the number of overweight young people is closely linked to changes in lifestyle, unhealthy dietary habits, and reduced physical activity. Adolescents, in particular, are at high risk because of increased consumption of fast food, sugary drinks, and processed snacks, combined with sedentary behaviors such as excessive use of smartphones, computers, and television. These factors contribute not only to weight gain but also to long-term health risks.
