Abstract

This article examines the phenomenon of separatism from the perspective of contemporary conflict studies. Separatism does not encompass all elements of a system but emerges through specifically selected components. It is analyzed as a complex, multifaceted, and interconnected systemic phenomenon within political processes. The study explores the historical roots of separatism, its connections to extremism and terrorism, mechanisms of resistance in the state and society, as well as its political and social impacts, all analyzed through a philosophical and political lens.
