This article examines the representation of fantastic worlds in German Romanticism, focusing on the dynamic relationship between magic and reality. It analyzes how Romantic writers constructed imaginative universes that transcend empirical rationality and reveal deeper metaphysical, psychological, and aesthetic dimensions of existence. The study highlights the philosophical foundations of Romanticism, including subjectivity, imagination, symbolism, and the unity of nature and spirit. By exploring the works of key authors and the broader intellectual context of the movement, the article demonstrates that the fantastic in German Romanticism functions not as escapism but as a critical and transformative mode of understanding reality.
