Abstract

This paper examines the main capabilities of the Autodesk Maya software package, which is designed for creating three-dimensional graphics, animation, and visual effects. The key methods of 3D modeling implemented in this software environment are analyzed, including polygonal modeling, NURBS modeling, and digital sculpting. Particular attention is paid to animation, rigging, texturing, lighting, and rendering tools that enable the creation of realistic 3D scenes and characters. The major areas of application of Autodesk Maya are also considered, such as the film industry, video game development, animation, architectural visualization, advertising, and design. The importance of modern 3D modeling technologies in the development of digital art and computer graphics is emphasized.
