Abstract

This article analyzes the role of the smart city concept in the development of modern society, its technological foundations, governance mechanisms, and socio-economic efficiency. The smart city model is aimed at optimizing urban infrastructure through digital technologies, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics, and automated management systems. The paper examines the application of smart solutions in the fields of transportation, energy, ecology, public safety, healthcare, education, and public utilities. It also discusses the challenges faced in implementing smart cities, possible solutions, and перспективные направления развития based on the principles of sustainable development.
