DEVELOPMENT OF MUSICAL CULTURE IN THE EARLY ISLAMIC PERIOD

Abstract
This article examines the development of musical culture during the early Islamic period in Central Asia and Uzbekistan. The study analyzes religious and secular musical activities, instrumental and vocal performance, and the transmission of musical heritage through oral traditions.
The article highlights the formation of Islamic-related musical traditions, the functions of music in rituals and social events, as well as the pedagogical and cultural significance of musical performance. The findings provide valuable insights for musicologists, historians, and ethnographers as a source for understanding ancient musical heritage.
