MORPHOMETRIC CHANGES OF ORGANS IN RATS EXPOSED TO CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING

Abstract
Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning remains a significant experimental and clinical problem due to its systemic hypoxic effects. This study aimed to evaluate morphometric changes in major organs of rats subjected to carbon monoxide intoxication. Quantitative morphometric parameters of the lungs, liver, heart, and kidneys were analyzed to determine structural alterations associated with CO exposure. The findings demonstrate significant tissue remodeling, cellular degeneration, and vascular disturbances, highlighting the importance of morphometric assessment in understanding CO-induced organ damage.
