Abstract

The article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the electronic textbook. Based on a number of publications, an analysis of the current state and prospects for the development of electronic text-books is being conducted. Specific examples show that the creation of electronic textbooks, despite a long history, is at the earliest stage of development, and bureaucratic attempts to speed up this process lead to costly failures.
