Abstract

In recent years, infectious diseases have emerged as a serious threat to the global health system. Their early detection, regular monitoring, and implementation of preventive measures significantly reduce the spread of epidemics. Information technology (IT) and artificial intelligence (AI) are serving as important tools in this process. With the help of IT, healthcare systems are able to collect, store, and analyze large amounts of data. AI algorithms are used to make epidemiological forecasts, quickly and accurately diagnose infectious diseases, and make effective decisions to prevent epidemics. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, AI-based models were widely used to create geographic and demographic maps of disease spread, identify potential infectious zones, and predict the course of the disease. At the same time, telemedicine, mobile health applications, and big data technologies have provided real-time disease monitoring and created the opportunity to quickly inform doctors and citizens.

The integration of IT and AI has increased the response speed of the health system, increased efficiency in preventing epidemics, enabled the rational use of resources, and facilitated cooperation through global information exchange. As a result, the harmonious operation of information technology and artificial intelligence is of strategic importance in controlling infectious diseases, preventing epidemics, and increasing the efficiency of the health system, allowing us to be prepared for future pandemics.
