Abstract

Bone regeneration is a critical aspect of modern dental practice, particularly in implantology, periodontology, and maxillofacial surgery. Bioglass, a bioactive glass material, has gained significant attention due to its unique osteoconductive and osteostimulatory properties. Unlike inert biomaterials, bioglass actively interacts with biological tissues, promoting bone formation and enhancing osseointegration. This article reviews the biological mechanisms, clinical applications, and advantages of bioglass in dental practice, highlighting its role in bone regeneration and tissue healing.
