Abstract

This article analyzes the novel “After You” by Jojo Moyes, one of the prominent representatives of contemporary English literature, from artistic, psychological, and socio-theoretical perspectives. As a logical continuation of the novel “Me Before You,” the work reveals the inner psychological crisis of the character Louisa Clark, her process of psychological adaptation after loss, and the reconstruction of personal identity. The study examines the concepts of trauma, recovery, female subjectivity, and love from the standpoint of modern psychological and feminist literary theory. The article also provides a detailed analysis of Louisa’s transformation, the distinctive features of the plot structure, and the emotional and aesthetic characteristics of the novel’s language.
