MINIMALLY INVASIVE METHODS OF OSTEOSYNTHESIS FOR FRACTURES

Minimally invasive methods of osteosynthesis represent one of the most important directions in modern traumatology and orthopedics. Their application is aimed at reducing surgical trauma, preserving blood supply to bone fragments and surrounding soft tissues, and accelerating reparative bone regeneration. These techniques are based on the principles of biological fixation, which provide stable fracture fixation while maintaining optimal biological conditions for healing.This article reviews the main principles, types, indications, advantages, and limitations of minimally invasive osteosynthesis in the treatment of fractures. Special attention is given to intramedullary fixation and minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO), as well as their influence on clinical and functional outcomes. The use of minimally invasive techniques allows for early patient mobilization, reduces the risk of postoperative complications, and improves overall treatment results.
