ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS OF DESERTIFICATION IN THE MODERN WORLD

This article examines the environmental challenges of desertification in the modern world. It examines the problems of well-known deserts, which are common in Africa and Asia, as well as other regions of the globe. The article also highlights the problems associated with the spread of droughts, which consume large areas and lead to economic decline in these regions. Furthermore, desertification is considered in the context of its negative impacts and consequences, such as droughts that contribute to the deterioration of soil fertility and lead to reduced crop yields. These negative factors collectively pose a threat to food security, which in turn increases the risk of hunger and malnutrition.
