Since ancient times, Central Asia has been considered one of the most strategically important geographical regions of the East. Central Asia served as a bridge connecting ancient China with Iran, India, and the Near East. The route that linked these regions with one another later became known in history as the Great Silk Road. Bukhara is an ancient yet ever-young city located in Central Asia, a venerable place that has inherited a rich cultural legacy. It is situated along the Great Silk Road — the main trade route of the ancient world.
