Abstract

This article is devoted to the scientific and methodological study of the impact of mathematics teaching methodology on the development of logical thinking in students in the context of a competency-based educational approach. The article analyzes the role of modern pedagogical approaches, in particular, competency-based, activity-oriented, problem-based and research-based teaching technologies in the formation of mathematical thinking. Students' logical thinking processes - analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, classification, identification of logical sequences, and mathematical argumentation - are considered as the main structural components of a competency-based lesson.
