This paper explores the current state of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) mechanisms in industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan and evaluates their effectiveness in mitigating environmental risks. The study employs a mixed-method approach, including statistical analysis, comparative review of international best practices, and case studies of key industries. Results show that although compliance with national environmental regulations is relatively high in certain sectors, gaps remain in the enforcement process, digital monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. The findings highlight the need for integrated reforms that combine stricter regulatory mechanisms, adoption of modern digital tools, and enhanced public participation. Strengthening EIA practices will not only reduce industrial environmental risks but also contribute to Uzbekistan’s long-term sustainable development goals and the transition toward a green economy.Downloads
