AIR POLLUTION AND ITS IMPACT ON THE GLOBAL WARMING PROCESS
Main Article Content
Abstract
Air pollution has become one of the most critical environmental problems of the modern era, directly contributing to the process of global warming. The rapid increase in industrial activities, transportation, energy production, and urbanization has led to the emission of large amounts of greenhouse gases and particulate matter into the atmosphere. Pollutants such as carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), nitrogen oxides (NOₓ), and sulfur dioxide (SO₂) not only deteriorate air quality but also intensify the greenhouse effect, trapping heat within the Earth’s atmosphere and raising global temperatures. This study explores the link between air pollution and climate change, focusing on the causes, consequences, and potential solutions. The findings emphasize that reducing air pollution through renewable energy, sustainable industrial practices, and stricter environmental regulations is essential to mitigate global warming and to ensure a healthier and more sustainable future for the planet.
