Foreign direct investment is really important for countries that are still developing or going through changes, because it brings in money, new tech, and better ways to manage things. In this global setup now, nations are all trying to pull in investors from outside by fixing up their business setups at home. I think the business environment covers stuff like laws, how institutions work, economic factors, and all the admin stuff that affects running a company. When its good, it cuts down on risks and makes things cheaper to do, so foreign companies feel okay about putting money in. But if institutions are weak or there are too much red tape and rules that keep changing, investors just stay away
