SMART HOTELS: A NEW DIRECTION IN THE FUTURE OF TOURISM

This article explores the concept of smart hotels as an innovative direction in the future development of the tourism and hospitality industry. The study emphasizes how the integration of digital technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and big data analytics is reshaping the structure and quality of hotel services. Special attention is given to the advantages of smart hotels, including operational efficiency, energy conservation, personalization of guest experiences, and the creation of sustainable tourism practices. The article also highlights potential challenges related to high implementation costs, cybersecurity risks, and the need for specialized human resources. Based on a review of international practices, the research identifies the strategic significance of smart hotels in increasing competitiveness and enhancing customer satisfaction in the global tourism market. The findings suggest that the implementation of smart hotel technologies is not only a technological advancement but also a key driver of sustainable and customer-oriented development in the tourism sector.
