THE DIALECTIC OF TRADITION AND MODERNITY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH INITIATIVES

This article explores the dialectical relationship between tradition and modernity in the development of youth initiatives. It argues that youth innovation cannot be fully understood without recognizing the interplay between inherited cultural-historical values and the demands of contemporary social and technological change. Tradition provides identity, stability, and continuity, while modernity introduces novelty, adaptability, and global perspectives. The paper analyzes how young people negotiate this tension in their educational, cultural, and civic practices, demonstrating that sustainable development of youth initiatives requires a synthesis of traditional resources and modern strategies. The research draws on philosophical, sociological, and pedagogical perspectives to show how this dialectic shapes both the worldview of youth and their capacity for innovative action.
