This article is dedicated to the life and harsh fate of the Uzbek writer Gafur Gulyam, who left an indelible mark on Uzbek literature, and to his story “Mening o‘g‘rigina bolam” which is based on real life. The article highlights the development of the plot, the experiences of orphanhood in childhood, their reflection in the author’s thoughts, and the importance of the peace and prosperity achieved today through the lens of the historical context.
