This article provides a scientific analysis of the sources of formation of volatile organic compounds in the library's indoor environment, their impact on human health, as well as the natural mechanisms for their reduction through plant-based decomposition and microclimate improvement features. It also examines the excretion of biogenic volatile compounds by plants and the impact of this process on the chemical balance of the closed environment.
