Abstract

Medications play a crucial role in treating diseases, alleviating symptoms, andenhancing overall health. They contribute to managing both acute and chronic conditions,preventing illnesses through immunization, and providing life-saving emergency treatments.However, medications can also cause side effects, ranging from mild discomfort to severecomplications such as organ damage, allergic reactions, and drug interactions. Understanding thebenefits and risks of medications ensures safer and more effective use. Proper adherence toprescriptions, lifestyle considerations, and regular medical checkups help minimize adverseeffects. Ongoing research and advancements in personalized medicine continue to improve drugefficacy while reducing potential risks.
